FAQs

Are all the recipes in this website your own?

Well, technically, at this point of the blog, many of the recipes I inherited are from my grandma and mom. However, I do have their permission to share them with you.

Other recipes are my own creations. I get an idea, test it, re-tested, photograph it, write it and then share it in my blog.

I have also based some of my recipes in others I’ve found on other websites, magazines or even YouTube. When I do this, I give credit to their author in my post, including a link to their website and original recipe, where possible.

Where do you find inspiration for all your recipes?

If you know me a bit, I’m a bit obsessed with anything food-related. So I get inspired quite easily, anywhere and everywhere. At the supermarkets, restaurants, festivals, you name it!

Considering I come from Argentina, and I now live in Melbourne, Australia, sometimes I include different ingredients, or even alternatives if I consider it’ll be difficult to find something on the other side of the world.

What do you do with all the sweets you bake?

I do not waste any of these delicious treats. I taste test everything (although I’ve done some of the recipes a thousand times) and then I share it with willing friends, family, neighbors and colleagues. Let’s say anyone nearby 🙂

Do you take your own photos for all your recipes?

I’m very proud to say “I do”. When I started this journey, I had no idea about food photography. Now, I can say I’m in the learning stage and I LOVE IT!

I enjoy thinking how to best portray a particular recipe, editing it later and sharing it with you all on my posts, Instagram and Pinterest.

What camera do you use?

I love my almost-new Canon 6D Mark II a “nifty fifty” Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens.

I want to use one of your recipes and/or photos. Is that ok?

I work very hard to learn, improve and develop all my content, so I would really appreciate if you please check my Photo and Recipe Sharing Policy before sharing content from my blog or social media platforms.

Welcome!

I'm Paula. Baker by legacy thanks to my grandma and mom, curious by nature. I'll share all the go-to recipes I've learnt from my family back in Argentina and some others I've picked up along the way. Some decadent, some healthy-ish. Happy baking! Read more...
